We've had

a few days away. We went to Yorkshire & what a wonderful time we had. The weather was absolutely beautiful so we managed a bit of walking. We also visited the National Railway Museum in York and did a little? bit of shopping LOL. I bought some new stamps & couldn't resist trying one of them as soon as we got home. As usual my photography is rubbish but I love the card I made. It does look better in real life.

Mother's Day Cards

The daffodil card was made from a sheet created for me by my dear friend Joanie from a photo I took the other day. I used Robert Addams 'Roses' CD and Dufex decoupage for the others. My favourite however is the simplest & was the easiest to make - the black & white flower one.

With a little help from my friends

As the title says, a card made with a little help from my friends. Firstly Jak who shared her gorgeous Build a Blossom sheets & secondly Jackie on whose card my feeble attempt is loosely........very loosely.......based. Thank you both for your help & inspiration

A Snowy Day

A very unusual occurence in Surrey but we had REAL snow LOL. It was quite deep - 15" on my table in the garden. While the rest of the world find it amazing that we don't cope very well with snow we have to remember that it's 18 years since we last had deep snow.
It certainly engendered a lot of community spirit in our road. The occupants of 5 houses were out in the street building an igloo. Everyone who walked past took photos & laughed & joked about renting it. Our granddaughter thought it was just the right size for her to live in & here she is fishing for her dinner LOL. The other -very poor- photo is of the card she made for her new friends- the students from one of the houses. It involved tearing lots of paper & lots of sticking so was very enjoyable for both of us. I just wish she had let me take a better pic before she delivered it though.

Bare

bear, dressed bear & bear card made using 'Bear-iations' stamps. I'm a bit disappointed with my photos but I am a rubbish photographer who needs more practise.
As for posting more now I've retired, I seem to have less time than before. I am determined however to start posting some of the cards I make instead of just taking photos & having them sit in folders on the computer.

Wedding Invitations

At last a post in the New Year!!!. After consultations with the bride to be & many miles travelling to get the correct supplies, this is the first of 100 invites. The couple will have this one in the morning for approval (I hope!) & then I can get on with them.
Any comments good or bad would be appreciated.
