Going away for a few days

to sunny - we hope - Devon! OH & I are really in need of this break & are so looking forward to it so although sun would be a bonus we don't really care. We just need to recharge our batteries. I am taking some craft stuff with me because I get up earlier than Roger so I'll get a start made on my Christmas cards. I have a card party booked for 22nd October & another around 6th/7th November so I do need to get making -lol. Hopefully I'll have loads to show on our return as well as a few pics of Paignton.

I had a wonderful weekend thanks mainly to PeeJay for being my chauffeur. Without her I wouldn't have been there at all. Lots of chatting, laughter, eating, a bit of drinking, shopping & last but not least we did do some work! We laughed our way through John Townley's class & I didn't finish a single card. Paddy's class in the afternoon was less amusing but more intensive. I thoroughly enjoyed the new techniques I learnt in this class using stampbord. I love the little box we made although I didn't etch mine very much - was a bit frightened of spoiling it - lol. I also love my Mackintosh style rose brooch but not very sure about the other piece although it was interesting to make & I will try it again.
I'd appreciate any comments

No cards to show today

not that I haven't made any but the orders have been done & gone straight out without me having time for photos -lol. The only one I have a pic of I can't post at the moment because the recipient may just pop in here.
Our Imag-e-nation crafting weekend is about to happen. I seem to have been looking forward to this for so long that I can't believe it's actually here at last!! Hopefully PeeJay will pick me up early tomorrow morning & we'll be off to Manchester. Can't wait! A weekend of crafting, chatting, meeting up with my buddy Joanie again, laughing, eating & maybe just a little wine - lol ! In the meantime I best get on & get organised or I won't be going.

Busy day yesterday

I started off clearing the little bedroom/junk room. I need to paint it pink so that Lily will be happy to have that as her room. I did manage to sort some rubbish out for the dump, some for a boot sale but then I found a CRATE of craft stuff that I'd forgotten about. I had a lovely time sorting through it & have kept a few bits but the rest is being given to other crafters. I couldn't settle back to doing the clearout after that so started making cards - that's a surprise-lol! My mojo must have been working because I managed to make 12 cards. No inserts in them yet but the cards are made.
